"Never Trust a Parrot"  was written in the "Notes" App on my phone over the course of about 3 subway rides. Once  I was done, I read it to my friend Karyn, hoping she might snicker. She didn't even smirk. She just looked at me dead in the eye and asked if she could illustrate it.
